I've always loved this beautiful piece. It's named after one of Tárrega's daughters, and he wrote it when she was around 12 years old. It appears to explore the different facets of kids that age: one moment moody teenagers, and the next moment still playful children at heart. Excuse me folks. Yes, the cellist is excellent. No doubt about it. However, I’ve noticed in the comments how the guitarist is barely mentioned. I find that odd considering how the guitarist’s impeccable ability to simultaneously play all 3 parts (bass, chords and melody), and to seamlessly switch between soloist and accompanist is equally as impressive, to say the least! Don’t you think?

Wow. My in laws lived in the Deauville for about 20 years until they passed. Shirley was the “Queen of the Deauville”. Spent a lot of time there and was so sad when they demolished it. Thanks for the memory.
